The Chipla Kedar hike is a hike in the Kumaon area of Uttarakhand, India, that not many people know about. The journey starts in Kathgodam, a town in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, and takes about 8 nights and 9 days to finish.
The walk goes through beautiful towns, thick forests, and meadows at high altitudes, all of which provide you great views of the Himalayan peaks. The Chipla Kedar Peak, which is around 3,660 meters (12,008 ft) above sea level, is the best part of the hike.
The trek is moderately to very demanding and demands a decent level of physical fitness and expertise trekking at high altitudes. The trek path is less popular with hikers, which gives you a chance to learn about the Kumaon region's culture and traditions.
The trek package normally covers getting from Kathgodam to the start of the trek, staying in tents or guesthouses, eating meals, camping gear, and the help and safety of an expert guide or a local trekking organization.
It's best to take the right steps and drugs to avoid altitude sickness and to hike with the right gear, such as warm clothes, waterproof coats and leggings, strong trekking shoes, and camping supplies. While hiking, it's also important to follow the Leave No Trace rules and show respect for the culture and nature of the area.
- Take a train or bus from Delhi or another big city to Kathgodam.
- Meet the hike guide and go to the hotel for the night.
