Chopta Chandrashila Trek

The entire area of the Chopta Tungnath & Chandrashila Trek is part of the Kedarnath musk deer sanctuary in District Rudraprayag Uttarakhand. The trek starts at an altitude of about 2,608 m, therefore there is a good possibility you will see animals like wild goats and Himalayan monals in the morning.

Garhwal is a little bit of heaven in the Himalayas. Chopta Tungnath and Chandrashila are a year-round vacation spot. The Bugyal or Velvet meadows and pure snow-capped mountains surround them. They are nice in the summer, fun in the monsoon rains, and have a great perspective of the changes. The snow-covered hills draw you to the fairyland in the winter. Chopta is situated in the middle of the Panch Kedar Trek route.
