They will still have to climb at least 80 steep steps to get to the Kunjapuri Temple, though. Adventure and nature lovers who want an exciting adventure and an adrenaline rush, on the other hand, like to travel there via trekking. The Kunjapuri Temple Trek is becoming one of the top options for a one-day climb and short treks around Rishikesh. It is relatively close to Rishikesh (30 km) and Tapovan (25 km).
Tour Plan
Day 1 Rishikesh-Kunjapuri-Rishikesh
A cab will collect you up at our tapovan office in Rishikesh about 4 or 5 a.m. and take you to the Kunjapuri Temple. When you get to the temple, you'll have to climb 250 steps to get inside. There, you'll discover a tiny shop where you may have a light breakfast and a cup of tea or coffee. Wait here for the sun to dawn, which will light up the Himalayas and the town of Rishikesh and the Gangas. Start your walk down once the sun rises. The total trek is about 8 km so bring well gripped shoes. You'll see mountains, villages, and more along the journey. The Neer Waterfall is close to the finish of the hike. You can take a bath here if you want.
