At 15,100 feet, Satopanth Tal is a glacier lake that hasn't been touched by people. It is shaped like a triangle and is concealed in the beautiful Garhwal region.
There is a lot of history behind Satopanth Lake. The people think of it as a holy spot. Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheswara, the three gods of Hinduism, are thought to have meditated on its three corners.
Some stories indicate that the Pandavas followed the path from Mana village to the steps to heaven, which are on the Swargarohini glacier, at the end of the Mahabharata.
One of the most picturesque treks in the Garhwal region leads to Satopanth Lake. You traverse the famed Vasundhara waterfall and Mana, India's final settlement. You may see Sahastradhara, which has more than 100 waterfalls, along the trek. The nicest part of the hike is walking along the Alaknanda River and camping in the Lakshmi van woodland and Chakratirtha meadow.
Mount Chaukhamba, Mount Neelkantha, Mount Swargarohini, and Mount Balakun all surround the lake. You will be next to all of these big mountains with snow on top.
